What I Like About Working at Whitcraft
My background was in the medical device, electronics, and automotive industries, so I’ve really enjoyed learning a different industry since coming here nine years ago. I find the compliance challenges in aerospace very interesting. The people here are very nice to work with and it’s in an excellent location – the historic seaport town of Newburyport.
About My Job
I’m a Manufacturing Quality Engineer and I do a lot of work with compliance, making sure the requirements are met for all blueprints and contracts. I ensure inspection methods used for compliance meet the requirements, and I provide the documentation to technical responses for specifications. This means I do a lot of research and documentation to support any requirements. I apply SPC, or Statistical Process Controls, as a method of quality control using statistical tools to monitor and control the process. We have programs for visual inspection that I also oversee.
I’m an Adult Leader for Troop 377 Hampton Falls Boy Scouts. My son was an Eagle Scout in the program, and my daughter is a level ten gymnast.
