What I Like About Working at Whitcraft
I like that the work I do is hands-on. I get to work on the floor instead of an office, and I work directly with parts. You get a better understanding if you get to follow a product through all its processes. It’s very pro-active here; we’re always looking for ways to make things better. There are always new technologies and new methods of manufacturing to work with.
About My Job
I’ve been here a year as Junior Manufacturing Engineer. I oversee a line with three cells that manufacture ducts for jet engines. I also do drafting, tool design, and engineering support to make ease of use operational in the development process.
Personal Note
I grew up on a farm where we raised sheep. Maybe this explains my hands-on approach and how I look at the whole picture. No one has just one job on a family farm!
