What I Like About Working at Whitcraft
Every business goes through ups and downs but how we deal with downs is what makes our company a world class aerospace company. During downs, our people persevere and take challenges and turn them into opportunities. That’s what I like most about our company. Our strength is our very diversified workforce, they have laid the foundation and are building the company to be a world-class leader in aerospace manufacturing.
An illustration of our resilience is when the aerospace market went down in the last cycle, we kept improving and growing. While other companies were looking to outsource, we grew our business and competed with the low cost labor market with our superior quality and on time delivery.
About My Job
As the Director of Lean Manufacturing and one of the leaders here, my main job is to help with developing our mission, vision, and strategic goals…’ I also have a hand in us realizing our goals by leading and implementing Lean manufacturing events using the Toyota Production System. Our owners and shareholders are firm believers in lean manufacturing, and we need our workforce to embrace and implement lean. As a Lean coach, I zoom in and out of our several annual events constantly, whenever and wherever it is required.
Personal Note
I love to read up on research, mostly history and space. I believe we’ll discover other life forms, maybe ten years from now. I like American football – my favorite team is the New England Patriots, and I enjoy cooking.
